We are Josef and Silvia and together we run the Öbersthof in Garn near Feldthurns according to organic guidelines. Our farm in Garn near Feldthurns is at 1340 m altitude on the sunny side of the Eisacktal. We keep organic chickens and organic cattle, sell meat packages, grilled specialties and beef sausage specialties as well as chickens to our customers. Our organic meat does not require any preventive antibiotics or hormones and is 100% natural - guaranteed no additives!

Livestock farming has been practiced for generations. In 2008 the conversion from classic dairy farming to organic beef cattle farming took place. In 2019 we took on a new challenge - organic broiler farming. The wood chip system for heating the stables, company buildings and the residential building (the entire farm) is operated with wood from our own forest. Our photovoltaic system produces more electricity than we consume ourselves.
