Wine and much more...

The Burgerhof is located on a glacier terrace at 750 meters above sea level above Brixen. It was first mentioned in documents in the 13th century. Originally it was probably the "Mairhof", the supply yard  Pfeffersberg Castle , which was built at the end of the 12th century and razed and abandoned shortly afterwards. Foundations and individual castle walls still remind us of the building today.

The organic social farm in Milland

The Vintlerhof is located in Brixen, in the Milland district, near other houses but surrounded by seven hectares of meadows and fields. The farm is certified organic , but no treatments are carried out, not even those permitted in organic farming.

At first glance it seems to be a completely ordinary farm, with animals, fields, meadows, stables and residential buildings. But when you watch it at work you notice that something is different: it is a Biosocial farm . Through agricultural activity and the other areas of farm life (holidays on the farm, processing of products, school on the farm), social and biological aspects combine to create well-being for the weaker people and for the local population.

Organic eggs from Feldthurns

Far from the hustle and bustle of tourists, high above Feldthurns, the Obrist family's organic chickens peck and scratch for grains and worms at 1,200 meters and, who knows, maybe they too enjoy the impressive view of the Dolomites. It has been proven that chickens like to live in peace. Stress affects the quality of the eggs and, in the worst case, affects the willingness to lay. So you don't have to worry about that at the Gasserhof. The young mountain farming family only started producing and marketing organic eggs in 2021. Right from the start, the demands in terms of quality, animal welfare and regionality were set as high as possible at the Gasserhof. The chickens have a clean home here and plenty of space to run around on the fresh mountain soil. Transport routes should remain as short as possible, both for feed that is purchased regionally and for the distribution of organic eggs that are sold locally. “We enjoy our work because we are proud to be able to offer a high-quality, regional product,” is how Anton Obrist describes what motivates him, his wife and their three children to work on the farm every day.

Sustainable vegetables from Feldthurns

About 40 years ago, Heinrich Gamper took over the Loamgruber Hof from his father. Until 2019, the small farm lived from dairy cows, grape vines and a chestnut grove.
Now the farm is on the verge of a generational change again. Valentin, Heinrich's nephew, will soon follow in his footsteps. He joins the business with his partner Evelyn.
"Our dream is to manage the farm sustainably so that future generations can continue on healthy soil. So in 2019 we started growing fresh and untreated vegetables for Feldthurns and the surrounding area. At that time, we converted a former meadow from the Loamgruber farm into one into a colorful vegetable garden. There we try to garden according to the principles of permaculture. We plant on narrow beds, which are cultivated using light, inexpensive but still effective manual technology. It is important to us to work without pesticides of any kind. All kinds of different things thrive in our garden Vegetables, some fruit and herbs.
In the near future, we also want to adapt the other areas of the business to our ecological and ethical ideas. The farm should stand on several pillars and diversity should always be preserved."

Organic meat at its best!

We are Josef and Silvia and together we manage the Öbersthof in Garn near Feldthurns according to organic guidelines. Our farm in Garn near Feldthurns is located at an altitude of 1340 m on the sunny side of the Isarco Valley. We keep organic chickens and organic cattle, sell meat packages, grilled specialties and beef sausage specialties as well as chickens to our customers. Our organic meat does not contain any preventative antibiotics or hormones and is 100% natural - no additives guaranteed!
Livestock farming has been practiced for generations. In 2008, the switch from traditional dairy farming to organic beef cattle farming took place. In 2019 we took on a new challenge – organic broiler farming. The wood chip system for heating the stables, company buildings and the house (the entire farm) is operated with wood from our own forest. Our photovoltaic system produces more electricity than we consume. For more information

The finest jams, juices, syrups and much more...

The Tschotthof is located at approx. 850 m above sea level, approximately 3 km from the center of Villandro. It is very sunny, with a wonderful panoramic view over Klausen and the Eisacktal. The farm has not been managed properly for two generations. The current owners have equipped the fields and meadows with paths and planted intensive crops (raspberries, blackberries, blackberries, apples, pears, plums, apricots, peaches and chestnuts). There are still old apple trees like “Brixner Plattlinger” in the meadows. This apple variety is very suitable for storage. Apples of this variety are only eaten in January or February. The fruits of the “Plattlinger” trees are also suitable for traditional dishes such as apple strudel and apple kiachl, as the apples are very juicy. The farm is managed according to ecological guidelines to guarantee sustainable agriculture and provide consumers with healthy, high-quality products. The fruits are used to make jams and fruit juices, which are available from us seasonally.

Alpine cheese from the Kreuzwiesenhütte

In our alpine cheese dairy, Junior Johannes has been producing various types of alpine cheese and other dairy products on a larger scale for over 10 years. Anyone who has had the pleasure of tasting the mature or fresh alpine cheese will have raised the bar considerably when it comes to taste sensations. Handcrafted South Tyrolean mountain cheese and butter are food, not just food. Kreuzwiesen cheese is made from pure pasture milk, of course without silage. The milk production of our animals is in the background; what counts is the quality. That's why it's not surprising that you can taste the abundance of alpine herbs in the cheese.

Niedersthof - Lüsen

We are in Lüsen, at 800 meters above sea level just above the Rienz Gorge and only a few hundred meters as the crow flies from Natz. The farm is located on a small high plateau that is blessed with many hours of sunshine, so wine and Mediterranean herbs thrive here. All kinds of vegetables also grow in the fields and grains also feel very comfortable in the often very windy conditions. We have been organically certified since 2022 and so the Colorado potato beetle is removed by hand, the dock is pulled out with the dock picker, the plants receive well-rotted manure as fertilizer, the calves graze in the meadow and only get our hay in the winter.

The young animals come from South Tyrol and are kept on our farm at around 1000 meters above sea level, in the fresh mountain air on the sunny southern slope, until they are slaughtered.

Our products are available all year round. The production is traditionally done by hand, directly on the farm. From September to February there is also fresh pork.

You can find us every Saturday at the farmers' market in Brixen, but you are also welcome to order or shop from us at home.
We are looking forward to your visit.
